Register Database Firewall with Audit Vault Server: In this article we will discuss about how to Register Database Firewall with Audit Vault Server for Oracle AVDF 20 after completed the AV & DF both server installation. Here we have performed this activity on Oracle AVDF 20.10 version.
Use below steps to Register Database Firewall with Audit Vault Server:-
- Login to the Audit Vault server console as Administrator user.
- Getting the Server Certificate.
- Copy the Server Certificate.
- Connect to the Database Firewall server and create a file on this server.
- Connect as root user on Database Firewall server and execute the config-avs script.
- Check & Verify the Certificate on the Database Firewall server.
- Register the Database Firewall on AVDF console.
- Enter details about Database Firewall server.
- Check the Database Firewall server status.
Login to the Audit Vault server console as Administrator user:
Login to the Audit Vault server console as Administrator user here avadmin user.
Getting the Server Certificate:
Click on “Settings” tab ( 1 ), click on “Security” tab ( 2 ), click on “Certificate” tab ( 3 ) and then “Server Certificate” tab (4 ).
Copy the Server Certificate:
Now you can see the server certificate, copy this certificate using “Copy Certificate” option.
Connect to the Database Firewall server and create a file on this server:
Now connect to the Database Firewall server using ssh and create a file on this server as the “support” OS user.
Connect as root user on Database Firewall server and execute the config-avs script:
Connect as root user on Database Firewall server and execute the config-avs script providing the IP Address of the Audit Vault server and the location of the certificate file.
Check & Verify the Certificate on the Database Firewall server:
Check & Verify the Certificate now on the Database Firewall server using config-avs command as below.
Register the Database Firewall on AVDF console:
Click on the Database Firewall tab and then click on Register option to register the Database Firewall.
Enter details about Database Firewall server:
Enter the Name for Database Firewall server, it’s IP Address then click on “Register” to save the configuration.
Check the Database Firewall server status:
Now you can check the Database Firewall server status is Up on AVDF console.
Now your Database Firewall is successfully registered with Audit Vault Server…!!!
