Audit Vault Server Installation step by step: In this article we will discuss about Audit Vault Server Installation step by step for AVDF 20.11 version.

Here we are going to install Audit Vault Server for AVDF 20.11 version on Oracle VM VirtualBox with below details configuration.

Hardware requirement for Audit Vault Server 20.11 Configuration :-

AVDF Version          : Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall 20.11
Server                   	: One x-86 64 Bit (2U) 
RAM                      	: Minimum 8 GB 
Disk                        	: Minimum 220 GB 
Network Port           : Atleast One * 
ISO Image               : V1041084-01.iso

AV Server Installation steps:

  1. Download the Audit Vault ISO file.
  2. Configure the VM and attach the AV ISO image.
  3. Start the AV Server installation.
  4. Post install configuration steps.

Download the Audit Vault ISO file:

You can download the ISO file for AV installation from https://edelivery.oracle.com

AVDF 20.11 iso files

Configure the VM and attach the AV ISO image:

Configure the vm for AV and attach the AV ISO image ( V1041084-01.iso ).

Start the AV Server installation:

Oracle Audit Vault Server 20.11.0.0.0 installation has completed:

After completed AV server installation Login the AV server as root user and set the Support user password. You can login using root user directly only on AV server and using Support user you can login AV server remotely.

Check the AV server mount points status, AV Database status, and Listener status:

Post install configuration steps:

Open the av console using URL and enter root credential:

URL will be the https://av-server-ip-address

In this stage you required to setup 2 Users ( Super Administrator, Super Auditor ) for AVDF Console Management and its password, set AV Database Encryption password, and if you have DNS server then enter the DNS servers details. You can perform any administration level activity using Super Administrator User and perform any auditing level activity using Super Auditor User.

Here we create the Super Administrator User “AVADMIN” and Super Auditor User “AVAUDITOR”:

Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall login console:

Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall console is ready for login and now you can login this console using AVADMIN and AVAUDITOR user only.
